While the above is commonly known, how many of you as managers have been
developed to dispense this responsibility proactively? Well, the answer is not a
In our interactions and research, we find that quite a few managers take up the role,
without being adequately coached or trained to perform the role. Its mostly a get in
and get done mode. While this may work in some scenarios, in most cases, the role
becomes a limiting factor the manager and it leads to gradual disengagement.
